Classroom 239: 3rd grade
High Tech Elementary, Chula Vista

Our classroom is filled with 22 vivacious 8-year-olds who come from various comminities within San Diego County. Our school, HTeCV, is located just a few miles north of the Mexico border, and many of our families identify with generational roots from Mexico. If you would like to know more about our school demographics and more specifics, please click HTe Setting Description to learn more.

Our classroom is founded in project-based learning. On average, we take about 3 months per project to deeply delve into content and wonderings that are relevant to students. We complete routine field work to explore our projects deeply, and we schedule meet-ups both at school and within our community to learn more from experts in fields applicable to our project learning.

Our Classroom

We are curious learners who seek, wonder, and explore with one another. We get messy, fail before succeeding, and love the journey!

"I love HTe because we are like family, and we learn together."
